Please, say this is a horrible spiteful windup. I have certain reservations about SK returning, only in as much can we afford the roller coaster ride that his appointment will bring. But Maggs, no no no, if he is appointed then another mistake will have been made by those in power to compound the previous one they made. I have not been on the SK bandwagon, probably the opposite, but he and several of the others named MUST be considered before Maggs.

Pardon my ignorance about this bloke, but I've just been on a Horsham fans' site and there are innumerable long speeches thanking him. So what's the issue?

Willo, guiam, how dare you? how can you state these things about the Messiah? really how dare you have any sort of opinion against the Spur mafia, lol. I just think we all have to accept there are pros and cons to SK's reappointment, a bit like marmite, it wont be boring that's for sure. But in reality can we afford it, in fact can we really afford a full-time manager? Just as long as its not Maggs. Guiam, SK or Maggs?

ralph1... I take real offence at your comments and it just shows that you haven't really read my posts. I have not castigated any possible applicant (other than Maggs) nor have I berated any of spurs comments whose opinion I am always interested in hearing. As far as SK goes I have not slated the guy in the least, to the contrary should he be given the job he should receive full support from all the fans as we go forward. I have purely asked obvious questions to the forum, if sacked from Farnboro are they economical reasons as they were in his tenure at the Pan? will we be in another rollercoaster ride, as YOU put it, to boom and bust? It appears there is one thing we agree on and that is the possibility of Maggs being appointed. So good that we agree on one thing!!!!

Willo... Ralph1 being sarcastic, I know they say its the lowest form of humour but I actually thought it was quite funny! (as was your response!) I don't think he understands what lol means Ralph, you should've used a smiley!
I've not bothered wading into this one so far but I thought now I am on here explaining the subtleties of sarcasm I might is well throw my lot in...
I personally would love to see Kingy back but it is not 'simply laughable' that there are fans that don't share that opinion, it is simply factual. This is old ground I know but you have to remember this forum represents a very small proportion of the fans that turn up week in week out, I have been watching Lewes for years and years and years and I have spoken to people who would not be that keen on Kingy coming back. There are plenty of excellent managers out there (and some rubbish ones we have to watch out for!) and its just silly all this King or nothing talk as is assuming that we need to walk the league next season to prove we are ambitious, it won't be easy whoever we get in, the Ryman prem is full of some very handy teams (note we never actually had to win it when we got into the BSS). Ultimately, yes, we should be looking to get back into the BSS sooner rather than later but there are twenty odd teams in that league that also want to get out of it and will be just as ambitious as we are.
Anyways, looking forward to finally hearing who we have in, like I said, Kingy gets a massive thumbs up from me but I trust Ibbo and the selection panel and I know whoever we get will give us some good times next season and hopefully bring some feelgood back to the pan!

Don't worry. Maggs is either Redhill or Worthing-bound this summer.

the redhill job has been offered to somebody else...and the decision there is delayed. maggs for worthing is a shame...i think worthing can do better than that...but look at the failures over the seasons..and all to do with morty. i know that if gordon lucking gets involved at woody, john the bricky and others will be out the door rapid. to my critics, the sk slaves...mark time. i will have my say.

First point, we are all entitled to state our opinion on this forum that's why this forum is lively, generally balanced and one of the better forums around. So our Spanish contingent are allowed their view just as spur senior and junior are so lets keep the respect aspect for our own views.
Second point. My father is 84 and is probably the oldest or one of the oldest supporters of the club. Not only has he supported them but has been " The sponge man" in the Ken carter era. He is very much in the pro SK camp, I am in the "Not so sure camp" so you can imagine we have some interesting debates, but after he read the headline in the NLP, even he asked why, yet again, has Kingy been sacked after another successful season? Whether you or pro SK, anti SK or just not sure, it does make you wonder.
Whoever we get, I just hope he gets us out of the Ryman asap and back to where we belong (Oh! and please LFC, don't employ Maggs, he's worse than KK and that takes some doing)
COME ON YOU ROOKS !!
