Youngspur you may have been supporting Lewes since 2000 but surely you were only about 8 then so wouldn't have had a clue what was going on, not saying you where thick just saying you where probably about 8.

youngspur... it's not an easy stick, it's fact. Our involvement is from about the same time. Yours was on the terraces with your father, mine wasn't. Due to my roles I have been privvy to many things that others have not, I do not profess to know everything that has happened but I know what I know and I know what I have witnessed personally. And I do not refer this exclusively to one person. But as said it is now in the past. I'm sure you've heard the saying 'no smoke without fire'... accept there are things you know nothing about. Too many years ago, an english teacher once said to a fellow pupil of mine "Boy, it is better you keep your mouth closed and allow people to believe you are stupid, rather than open your mouth and confirm it!" - I took this advice on myself and it has served me well over the years ;-)
The announcement will be confirmed soon enough and there will be some delighted fans.

Must say I feel a bit sorry for Youngspur even though I have disagreed with him on plenty of things in the past. He's only expressing his views and is entitled to air them. In my experience, by the way, being 8 years old is no bar to talking good sense, just as being 80 is no bar to talking pure cobblers! Let's face it, most of us like to think we know all about the game when in fact we are clueless! It doesn't matter though, it's all part of the joy in following your club.
All of this said I expect willoenespana will be proved right about the new manager...hope we get news soon.

When youngspur was 6 he was already going on 60...
Seriously history repeats itself - you all know the quote....
I'm turning into Guiam and will be buying a lovely property in Southern Portugal soon and reading my international edition of the Daily Mail - weather today - scorchio.
I hear shares in the sunbed centre near the ground have rocketed.

Guaim has gone very quiet. Not only has he admitted to respecting and liking Steve King, his No.1 candidate for the job was obviously seeking employment elsewhere. A criticism that he also levelled at Steve King!

He said he was going to cancel his account, I reckon he's had a Sangria overdose. Keeping away for a while

His choice seems bigger then the club, as he has NO BAGGAGE apparently, not sure if Guiam mentioned it.

This thread has become really sad, it was started by rev wondering who had applied for the job, now we return to some supporters having a go at each other !! I only hope you lot are just as passionate about the new manager as you are about ripping in to each other.
We all support the club and want whats best for it however old we are or where we live, perhaps the focus should be on whats best for the club, not taking every opportunity to score cheap points off one another !!

I will be behind the new manager 100% whoever it is. I agree somersetrook it is a lot of cheap shots but when you have so many people with differing opinions then the argument goes stale which leads to picking.

Last season i brought a season ticket No 58 I missed 1 home game due to playing darts,i was very dissapointed with what i saw throughout the season and at this very moment wont be renewing for next season, with the gulls at a higher level now and alot of football fans i speak to having season tickets at falmer the rooks need to bring back the King or rely on the rooks not being at home when the albion are at home,I,ve been spending the £ on the rooks whilst others live in euroland preaching,be brave!

just heard from my source that john maggs is finalising the loose ends with the club he has been talking to. apparently they are a club looking to get out of the division they are in. who else in sussex is looking for a new manager other than lewes? Would that be so bad if it were John Maggs? Maggs has plenty of contacts at this level and knows the league opposition well. could be just what we need to get back up I know that Guiam doesn't approve of anything to do with Horsham, but who takes any notice of him anyway?

On a more serious note, as King is coming back, does this mean Cliff returns as part of the deal?

On a more serious note, as King is coming back, does this mean Cliff returns as part of the deal? Cliff has moved back to London so cannot really say if he will or not unless of course SK has moved there as well and then he can hitch a lift with him.
