He's at a ryman premier side, so only a division below.

"He will boss Ryman one south".... This must be a different Ross Sutton to the one I have seen play for Lewes. It does not surprise me in the slightest that O'Shea and Smith have not considered Sutton for their first team - young yes but good enough for Lewes FC - not in a million years.

Pah made me laugh, how many times you seen him play? Not been brilliant in the few games he has played this season but I assure you he is not one to be slating as he is a very good player and would be a great player in the ryman 1 south. He is also very versatile as he can play at left back and left wing and has an amazing ability to run turn a player and run again which seems to always work.

Got good reviews in first game for Aveley - which they won - as did Manning.

When fully fit Ross is a great player and should be first choice out on left, think he is still under 20 and can easily hold his own in the BSS

What an incredibly harsh judgement. I think Sutton is a very decent player and given his age I think he has considerable potential. Time will tell if he makes it for us but at this stage, I think it's a little tough on the lad to condemn him this strongly. Come on you Rooks.

I think some of these posts are a little harsh on Ross. This season has not been good for him, watched him last season when he had some very good performances. Lets stop these negative posts, lads like him need encouraging !!!

100% behind Ross. A young player with bags of potential. Some really good performances and versatile from left back to left wing. Has physical presence which many of the other younger players have lacked; Vital for this level of football. Had the club not been struggling his introduction would have been phased but he was thrown in and in the circumstances as I said has done really well. Mind you being versatile can sometimes work against players ie: which is his best position?

I like Ross Sutton. He has been very unlucky with injuries but he has been very effective when playing left wing in the few times I've seen him there. I think he could be good enough at this level. He also has a bit of physical presence too which we seriously lacked last season.

Do me a favour - what is this the Ross Sutton appreciation society! I wait to be proven wrong... If O'Shea and Smith recall the boy and he regularly gets in their first team then indeed I will be proven wrong. As I said previously I don't think he has the game to become a regular for O'Shea and Smith but on the flip side I would always rather see players come through the youth team than farming somebody in for money.

I agree with pj. This is a young lad (Sutton that is, not pj who I haven't met but imagine like me has his playing days behind him!) who is still developing as a player. In the time that I've watched him play in the first team, he has become a skilful, pacy left sided player...very good going forward and not bad defensively. He's not the finished product but he is one I would like to see us hang on to.

Wow, kingcantona are you serious? Did you even watch a single game last season, he was one of our consistant players and was the third most used player behind Rikki Banks and Chris Breach. This season has been harsh for the lad as he has missed 13weeks through a re-occuring ankle injury. How do you expect the kid (whos still 18) to come straight back from injury and break into the team without being match fit. He's 13weeks behind every one else in match fitness, and so O'Shea and Smith have put him out on loan for a month and a bit to get games to be match fit. Give the kid a chance, and quite frankly you havent got a clue.

Yes sparky I don't have a clue. Like I said above he was never going to be considered for the Lewes first team under O'Shea and Smith. Nevertheless good luck to the boy.
