Banks made some exceptional saves and I belive it was Cobbs (couldn't really tell, so high up) that was the first ever yellow card at the Amex

Thought banks was very good today. Think the catering will struggle with a larger crowd.

Can we not just give it a rest with the loyal and unloyal fans bulls**t. I saw plenty of faces at the Amex yesterday whom I would consider the most loyal and strong Lewes fans. Does that mean they are no longer fans of Lewes FC, Seagulls?

Yes it was a good atmosphere, and I enjoyed the day, though some of our forum members bemoaned the lack of singing from the Boro faithful. .PS Good luck to you guys for the coming season, hope to get to one or two games, to observe what Mr King is able to achieve on a limited budget.

All this talk about loyal fans reminds me of the old clown in charge last season comments at the end of the season. "I hope the club moves forward for the genuine fans"

I bet there were more Lewes fans at the Amex yesterday than went to all of the Lewes games last season.
Not knocking people for going to games but it would be nice once in a while for our away support not to have "come in a taxi"...Worthing next Saturday is just a cycle ride away (well for the younger members anyway)

You can hardly blame people for not being at St Neots yesterday, I know it was Kings first game back but that is a hell of a long way for a friendly so well done to everyone who went. But to say that you are not a "loyal fan" if you don't go is ridiculous.
I was not in St Neots yesterday but I go to most away games and will be making to trip up to Lowestoft and have previously made long trips to Worcester and Burton to name just a couple and would consider myself a loyal fan.

St Neots was a heck of a trip, as too will Lowestoft be (4 hours plus each way on the train)....But Worthing next week is virtually on the doorstep, Horsham on Bank Holiday Monday is 30 mins away.
It is not a question of being called "loyal" or having a right to say anything about the team/club. I just found it amazing last season that so many people had an opinion on how bad we were playing after some away games when I only counted less than 20 fans there.
We traditionally have a poor away support, in fact I would say one of the poorest in the BSS but it only takes a handful of people to start going to 1 in 2 or 3 for there to be some momentum.
This season there will be sides with significant away followings such as Lowestoft, Carshalton, Leatherhead and Bury Town.
Trust me - the players and the management will really appreciate it. If everyone who went to a home game went to just 3 away games in a season there would be a significant difference.
After all who can really resist the romance of Margate in late January, Aveley or even Hampton (for Met Police) on New Years Eve?

I plan to attend 3 or 4 away games this season, mainly those in north and nw London such as harrow, wealdstone and finchley. Trying to get mates in London to adopt a local Ryman side and get them to come down to Lewes for the return matches. A cultural exchange of sorts!

I will be trying to get to as many away games as possible this season - with a couple of mates in tow hopefully. Do Met Police play in Hampton, I always thought they were based at Imber Court?

You are a bit spoilt for choice in North London - remember there is also Hendon as well. Would be great to see you at these games
