:DAbout 100 folks from Bridgeview (kids and parents) came down to the Dripping Pan tonight for their annual awards evening. Very nice atmosphere and the bar did some good business even though it is in the midst of renovation. Best of all Steve King came along to present the awards and was warmly welcomed. Some of the Bridgeview kids might one day play for the Rooks; many more will hopefully become fans. Occasions like this evening help encourage an early bond between the kids and their local non-league football club so well done to everyone involved in making it happen.

:DThe bar is currently being renovated but work was delayed due to complications with getting the pipes / cooling apparatus arrangements adjusted to allow for the bar being lowered to a more accommodating height for the vertically challenged. New windows and frames and renovated potective grilles will also be put in within the next week or so. I am sure that every effort is being made to ensure that all will be sorted in time for the first pre-season friendly against H&W. Given we have also got a new kitchen with new dishwasher and new cooker the Rook Inn facilities will have had a timely and major makeover. Just like the team has!
