Sorry. Twice for emphasis? Margate is no longer playing at Dover so forget the ground name.

Well i was going to renew my season ticket, but it seems i'll keep my money in my pocket and pay on the gate.If i was to buy a season ticket tomorrow i would expect the games to be played on the dates given today not moved forwards or backwards due to the albion playing the same day, the fixtures are listed today so lets just get on with it!

Buy your season ticket HR and become a share-holder too. We shall be playing whether BHA are at home and away. Why look at the incinerator on a Saturday when you could be at the Dripping Pan breathing in the fumes?

:DGlad you enjoyed the historic stuff. But seriously - we are looking for an 'archive' to store the memoribilia in dry damp-proof conditions. Can you help or do you know someone with a spare room who might help? Whoever can store the stuff is guaranteed hours of nostalgic delvings. There simply isn't enough room at the Dripping Pan and my own house is full of kids coming and going who don't know when it is time to leave the nest. In fact the stuff is not in my house at all at the moment - it's all in my people carrier car. The big shop at Tesco (and / or Waitrose) is postponed indefinitely. If you can help please PM me on this forum or direct at: david.arnold@me.com

Any takers for Friday nights? In the past some teams have pulled in better crowds on a Friday night.
Some of the local amateur leagues (kids/adults) operate on a Sunday as well.

I wouldn't want friday nights. I have bought a season ticket and would obviously still attend the games however I support Lewes, not Brighton and would personally rather leave them as they are. Although I would prefer Sundays than friday nights as evening games just don't have the same feeling as a game at 3:00 especially with our floodlights- also creating extra costs for the club.

Friday nights for me,love the atmosphere at evening games. I think a lot of people have family commitments on Sundays ( ok yes i am talking mainly about guys ) It also gives kids a chance to experience an evening game with no school the next day, bar takings are also higher due to no later activities (unless we win the of course then who knows !)

It is not just the impact on crowds we need to consider (although that is important), but the ease of getting here for visitors. Most away teams come to Lewes via the A23 and A27, and they could easily be snagged in the pre-match traffic to Falmer. That is why moving the Havant psf to the Friday was sensible.
As we need the agreement of the opponents to swap, maybe the easiest option is to reverse the home and away fixtures, where that offers a benefit.
For example, instead of playing Billericay at the Pan on August 27, play them at their place. Re-arrange the home game for March 24, when the away game is scheduled. The result is no clash with BHA, as they are away to Forest on March 24. Simples!
Might not work for all 7 clashes, but a good starting point.
Friday nights are an alternative, but as a working day some opponents are not going to fancy the madmans run on the M25.

I hope we stick to Saturday's as I'm planning to come down to watch a few home games. If it's Friday's or Sundays I won't be there as its blooming long way to go to watch a home game and then work the following day.
That's the selfish view, common sense says Sundays as Friday night games would be difficult for the away teams to get to us and for their supporters, which I suspect will be lower in number than clubs in the BSS.

Folks, stop flapping, there's only one clash with the Albion b4 17 Dec so there's time to see how the attendances are panning out b4 deciding what to do with the 2012 clashes.

The problem with the Rooks playing on a Sunday is that a lot of kids (who Lewes are trying to encourage to attend) play Sunday football, which means their parents are required to take them, so they would not ba able to attend either, which would definately impact on attendances. The occassional Friday would work though.

Back to the Jonathans post above about away matches........
Hendon don't play at their Claremont Road ground any more. They share Wembleys ground at Vale Farm Sports Centre.

I am confused about Hendon. The information on the fixtures seemed to suggest we were playing them in the FA cup preliminary round, which can't be right. Are we still mighty enough to skip the 1st preliminary round and that was just an extra piece of information? Anyway I have been to Hendon and it involved a journey on the London Underground followed by a short bus journey. ANybody who actually wants to go to the Hendon match would be wise to find out the correct correct location and use the Nat Rail timetable. See you all on the 11.20 from Lewes tomorrow!

sunday afternoon also clashes with televised Premiership which may put off floating fans. I reckon friday night's the best option.
