willoenespana: Whilst I agree the accounts should be published, an increase may not read as it seems. For example, there may have been a higher take-up of season tickets, share options or sponsorship than forecast and the BoD (if the claim is true) may have been in a position to release more funds? If this is the case, I'm sure the accounts will reflect this.
Just a thought....

The board have already said they will announce the playing budget. Keep up.

snoblett, must've missed that. Can't understand why it hasn't already been done then as further increases due to higher income revenues could be publicised in due course and would reflect the good work being done by the club.

The budget for last season was announced at the start, I think about £150,000, maybe wrong. However before Ibbo left they announced a small increase in the budget because of injuries if my sometimes poor memory serves me right. Factor in the management duo were on a wage increasing the budget by probably another 10% and I understand a further increase in the budget was allocated to Tosh in the hope of staving off relegation.
Now these increases could have been allocated on the back of higher than expected revenue and therefore sound WE DON'T KNOW. As a community club we should know where we are going with the finances but after the initial openness the Board have shut up shop.
Just as importantly not only do we need to know what the budget for last season was and what the budget for next season is but what the clubs turnover is. Experts recommend to run a prudent football club wages should not exceed 60% of turnover. I express concern on this because my understanding, I hope misplaced is that the original £50,000 put in the investors as a financial buffer was being put towards the budget, if so that is not financial prudence or running a club on a sound financial footing
I could be well out with all this but until the Board announce the turnover and budget for last season and the expected turnover and budget for next season we do not know how sound their financial integrity is, if they have got carried away trying to keep us up we need to know. Have they factored in on the budget for next season the probable injuries and need to pay for loanees.
Remember that 60% it is important, announcing just the budget is fairly futile if we don't know the turnover
If the wages last season exceeded 60% of turnover we are back to poor housekeeping territory
I am not being snide, I am delighted Kingy is back and fully believe his budget is the same as the other applicants were told. But i sit too high

I think black and red (cardboard) crowns would be fun too. Don't forget my post suggesting a brass band playing "Sussex by the sea" and "God save the King" ("anything but the drums" - somebody replied). Then on the Tannoy "I get knocked down"/"Eye of the Tiger"... There are "Crown hats" for sale on ebay at a cheap price of £1.25+79p P/P

Returning to the subject of the thread, has Michael Malcolm signed for Lewes?

I heard that he is still considering a deal and does seem to want to join, However, as someone has pointed out the Farnborough forum people seem to say he has signed for us but I don't know where they got this information from.
