Brian 'The Badge' Ashdown has just bought a Season Ticket for 2011 - 2012 and it will be great to welcome him back as he had to miss last season due to personal circumstances not to do with football. He tells me he will have at least two new badges up for sale very soon - one will celebrate the return of the King and the other mark our debut in Ryman Premier. Brian sorts and funds these badges at his own initiative and always returns a substantial donation to the Lewes FC Supporters Club funds, which of course go on to support the Mighty Rooks and Dripping Pan facilities for fans in so many different ways. Come on you Badge Man! Don't forget - if you want a Season Ticket at the superb price of £150 for adults or just £75 for Concessions (over-60's and students) be sure to apply before 16 July or you'll have to pay a good deal more. Download a form from the Official site and pledge your support now.

No - the Season Ticket is for Ryman Premier League games at the Dripping Pan only. Admission to the Under 18s is just £3 per home game. The £3 goes towards paying for expenses incurred by the match officials which are usually around a total of £90. Last season if the gate money didn't cover the expenses, then Team Manager Chris Rivers made up the shortfall out of his own pocket so you can see it is important to generate gate income and get people along to the Under 18s games.

David - do you feel that the u18 players should pay the odd subs, to help the club, or could the players be sponsed by parents etc, anything that helps the clubs maintain success.
Or a sponser board in the rookery, showing photos and achivements made by the players and the team? So the club supporters could learn and see the youth teams as players and not a u18,s team.
am sure the parents would help

Very good ideas. What we need to do is show big support for Sin my opinionn Wormull when the youngsters start coming together. Nothing better encourages the youth than the feeling that they have fans behind them, urging them on. It's also very important that we provide hot food post-matches for home and away players and officials as part of the 'professional' image of Lewes FC. If we can build up a buzz then sponsorship opportunities can arise and hopefully parents might become involved with some financial support. If the young team flourishes then individuals stepping up to the senior level becomes very possible and very desirable to a community club like Lewes. But all that begins with us First Team fans turning out to support the youngsters whenever we can.
