Good luck David. You were one of the few shining lights in the last two or three dismal seasons. You are a quality player and would be great to see you back at the Pan one day!!

One memory of David off-pitch. A coach-load of us went up to Wembley a couple of seasons back to watch him play for England schoolboys. Unfortunately he was ordered to play a defensive role against a superior French team and then got injured after a couple of heavy tackles before the interval, so he wasn't able to make his mark. But before the game the England team passed a deaf choir performing for the crowd, and just one of the England players turned to raise his hands and applaud them for their efforts – that player was David.

Good luck to David, god knows how many points we would have ended up with last season if it wasn't for him.
The goal against Braintree and the appropriate send off he got from the fans at the last home game were real highlights for me last year.
Just one thing though...Staines Town- without doubt the dirtiest team I saw last season. Let's hope David does learn any bad habits whilst 'on loan'.

"commencing what is hoped will be a long and successful playing career with the Middlesex club".
Well I hope we see him back at Lewes in a season or two with us being back in BSS.

By coincidence I went to Uxbridge today and then spent three hours driving home to Lewes via a gridlocked M25. This was between 4pm and just gone 7pm. I can now see why David was hacked off with travelling from Brunel Uni (in Uxbridge) for training and games down in deepest Sussex. How much better will he be if he arrives fresh and raring to go at Staines who have a ground 10 minutes from his digs. Anyway his uni days will be behind him in two year's time so hopefully we can then welcome him back to his true footballing home - the Dripping Pan!
