I'd like to know the colour of the away strip? I asked Ray Bugg and he said it was pink. It turns out he was pulling my leg. I didn't like the green but It worked with the NSPCC logo. The charity that we support should not depend on the away shirt colour but the combination should be attractive to boost sales of the shirts and look good on the pitch. The Brazil strip was pushing it a bit. We did best with light blue or orange except for the game at Dulwich Hamlet when Bugg forgot the orange socks and the players had to borrow red ones!

Did play Fisher however at Dulwich.

The green kit wasn't chosen because of the charity...but because it was our 125th anniversary and green was our original kit colour..i hope it stays.

Hope both kits stay for another season - I think when people buy replica shirts they should be Ok to wear for 2 years.

Thank you Seagulls. I did say at Dulwich Hamlet not against. You can just about see the red socks on the You Tube video you have provided.

Think we should keep the kits for a minimum of 2 seasons otherwise we are ripping off the fans like Premiership teams.

Could be but I think maybe keep the same kits but with the badge back to usual. We could then keep selling the commemorative shirt.

Keep the green away kit, I really like it. I also agree about kits being kept for two years.

I liked the green but I think it will make us look cheap if we keep a '2010' badged kit for a second season. Especially as those blue patches aren't usable now.
Start afresh, red and black for the home kit, all white away.

With the offer for fans to chose the shirt sponser charity then the kits will obviously have to change slightly, however I agree that they should just change the sponsor and change the badge to the original meaning that the kits would stay the same and so people do not really have to buy a new one to keep up to date unless they want to. Also letting fans suggest charity sponsors is a great idea so well done yet again to the board.

I don't want to upset anybody but I don't think changing the shirt is ripping people off. If you wear your old shirt you are still showing your support. If you buy the new shirt you also donate towards the club. When the post office issues special stamps - you don't have to collect them all. I bet you there is at least one Pinkie Jones or Master Tiles shirt available for home matches somewhere. I think I've got a Master Tiles suitable for a six year-old. Come on fork out for an away shirt - probably less than the price of the away trip.

There is nothing wrong in wearing an old shirt. To me it shows that you have been a supporter for a long time.
And before anyone asks: I don't have the 1948/49 season shirt. ;D ;D ;D

i still wear my pinky jones shirt. but i suppose thats because we won the league in it. there are pros and cons to a new shirt each season. a donation to the club is good but it is an expense to buy a new one. i suppose its upto each fan. if they can afford a new shirt get one if you cant dont. its not as the club are demanding we buy one

I still wear my Master Tiles shirt. Pinky Jones shirt is falling apart. I don't see the problem with renewing a shirt each year. Its how the club makes money. What I don't agree with is clubs who charge £50 or so for shirts. The price that Lewes charge is very reasonable.

My Pinkie Jones shirt has fallen apart too - but the Master Tiles shirt lives on – and I have a sneaky feeling those NSPCC shirts will last a few years of washing too. They're practically bullet proof.

Shirt design aside, do people think we should keep green as a permanant changed colour? I think it's a great nod to the club's early history and i certainly prefer it to sky blue or orange!
