As mentioned in the Thurrock thread, rumour is that Bishops Stortford may resign from the League after being placed in the North, which could mean Chelmsford would be forced to make the long journeys up and Lewes retain their place in the Blue Square South.
Stortford have made a statement saying they will appeal:
Press Release Saturday 11th June 2011 At the Football conference AGM held this morning at the Celtic Manor resort the Constitution of the Blue Square Bet Premier, North and South was agreed. As a result of the expulsion of Rushden & Diamonds FC by the football Conference board, Bishop's Stortford Football Club have been relocated to play in the Blue Square Bet North for the 2011/12 Season . BSFC expressed its displeasure and serious concerns regarding this decision. The board of directors of BSFC intend to appeal this decision with the Football Association (FA). Further announcements will be posted on this website. Luigi Del Basso Chairman
It's still very unlikely to happen, but what would people think about Lewes playing in the BSS next season? Would it be better for us to try and rebuild in the Ryman's?

I personally think it would be better to rebuild in the Ryman but a couple of thoughts, if the Lewes were offered a reprieve back to the BSS would the club take it?
Secondly, no doubt the board have employed SK with a Ryman budget are we in a position to cope with a BSS budget?
It would certainly give the board something to think about not to mention SK, it could get very complicated.

The rules state that if a team resigns from a league after the AGM the league plays one team short. So it cant happen boovidge

Good if it cant happen, the club needs to know what league we are going to be in o that we can build a team on that. Are the final leagues decided now then Eastie? I hope so as then King can start building a team in aim of getting out the ryman rather than not knowing what the target is. I would rather be in the ryman this year than conference south as I am getting exited about the season and a season or two in the ryman will do us a lot of good.

I'm looking forward to this season and the start of rebuilding a decent team in the Ryman. With any luck we might just get promoted back to BSS and by then we might just have a team that is capable of kicking Boro's butt again. Just as it should be. ;D ;D ;D

probably a silly question but if we reconstituted into BSS, do we have to accept?

Wouldn't it be strange if we end up in BSS and then SK takes us to promotion? So that would be Ryman Premier to BSP in less than one year. To attract crowds away from the Olympics during the friendlies next year: Barcelona and AC Milan at the Pan - albeit a Barcelona XI and Milan XI team. Let's not lose our heads.

With Rushden kicked out the conference I wonder where super Joe Keehan will end up playing next season, presuming he will leave them.

different leagues have different rules is probably the answer.

The whole thing looks like a can of worms; if BS voluntarily go down but no-one moves up, there would then be a whole load of other teams shunted down to make way for Stortford. No-one would accept that.

They have. Southport saved; Thurrock saved; BS in the BSN - game over.

Ah, ha. I'm being a pillock.
I can't see how it wouldn't have been easier to keep Stafford in the BSN & Southport in the BSP therefore creating a space in the Zamaretto for R&D?
