Rushen & Diamonds have been kicked out the BSP meaning Thurrock have stayed in the BSS.
Meaning 3rd from bottom last season (and as usual) would have been enough...

The immediate reaction is "If only we could have gleaned a couple more points...."
I look at it another way:
IF we had stayed up then I would imagine we would still have Tosh at the helm and probably another season of constant struggle. I didn't see any sign of him turning it around.
So you never know. If Kingy is really successful this season then, strange as it may seem, getting relegated could have been the best thing to have happened to the club
Also, would we have wanted to be reminded forever by people "you only stayed up because of... blah blah blah"?
We will take our medicine. It's going to be a fresh start. Hopefully the dawn of another successful era but this time based on a sound financial stategy.

On first hearing of the news I felt the same PJ.
Sounds strange but I genuinely believe relegation will better serve our long-term stability

Bishops Stortford Have been moved to the BSB North and on another forum they are saying they may pull out of the league, this may mean we go up aswell. It could all get a bit messy.

Bishops Stortford may get compensation from the Conference for the inconvenience of awaydays at Workington and Blyth. I think BSN clubs received a payment after Ilkeston folded. Good article on Rushden here; www.twohundredpercent.net/?p=13242Rumours abound about the position of Stockport County. If they were to enter admin, that would further complicate matters.

I do enjoy these quiet, uncomplicated close season times, I think we'd all bored with nothing to think about !!

At this rate Lewes will be in Conf South and Boro will be in the Conf Prem and still 2 months to go
