I'm happy with the prices but I think some will be disappointed that they have not been reduced.

Think it's a bit much to ask they be reduced. Admittedly we have been relegated but last season we had the cheapest season tickets for both adult and concession in the Conference South and even in the Ryman Premier there are only a couple of teams that offer cheaper season tickets than us. £190 up the road at Horsham Absolute bargain at the Pan.

Agreed. I might be wrong but I think Worthing charge a tenner too.
Being an occasional turnstile operator I can confirm that anything other than a tenner is a pain in the **** on match days.

Worthing charge £9 but have the cheek to charge an extra 50p to sit down. To put our season ticket prices into perspective at Woodside Road in the Ryman South they charge £175 and £90 respectively (this was last season...for all I know they may have increased this). It's a no brainer. Just buy one, or two, or...

So how many games will a season ticket cover?

21 home games which makes the saving pretty miniscule if you pay the new prices.

:DA dozen applications for Season Tickets received already from Saturday and today so we off to a flying start. The current cost that's good until 16 July means that Season Ticket prices at Lewes FC have been held at the same level for three years now. When you consider that the Blue Square South authorities have declared the minimum adult admission price for 2011-2012 is to be £12 (£10 at Lewes in the Ryman Premier) then the value for a Season Ticket to see the Mighty Rooks looks absolutely excellent and nothing like a King's ransom!

Why do the authorities set a minimum ticket price? Surely the clubs can decide what to charge themselves?

As I understand it, that's simply the way it is! Clubs can choose to charge more but not less. Maybe to avoid clubs going too 'cheap' and making other clubs look like money-grabbers on the gate when in fact it might come down to a rich vein of sponsors or a sugar-daddy underpinning a club's finances so that gate money is not crucial. So far as arbitrary decision making goes I was at the Conference AGM and Gala Dinner at the Celtic Manor Resort near Newport on Saturday (yes, though relegated from Blue Square, Lewes FC had to be represented or face a very heavy fine). I heard first-hand at the AGM the news that Rushden & Diamonds had been expelled for non-payment of £350k debts. That night the owners of Thurrock FC (in third relegation place just one point above Lewes) sat at our table for the dinner and they said that the first time they knew they'd won a reprieve in Blue Square South was that very morning at the AGM. They had already paid their membership fee for Ryman Premier next season and had booked rooms at the Brighton Metropole for next Saturday's Isthmian (Ryman) AGM! Hope they get their money back. Not sure what else the Conference could have done in the circumstances surrounding Diamonds. But for sure never a dull moment in Non-League!

It's depressing that the football authorities even at this level are utterly inept!

I would love to buy a season ticket but with my work commitments its i cant. i think its a very reasonable price and asking the club to lower that is a bit of cheek. at least this season youll get value for money considering our signings already
