Sorry all!! I'm full of boyish excitement given today's news so a little game for you. You are allowed to bring back one... and only one of the players who played for Lewes under Steve King.... who do you choose?
For me it would always be Dale Binns. He'd never be an "essential" player but the entertainment his displays used to provide was the reason you ever started to go to football matches.
Please bring him back Kingy!!

Garry Holloway for me. I think he missed 8 games in one season and we failed to win 5 of them. He is my 4th all time Lewes favourite behind Leighton Allen, Syd Harman and Marc Cable.
GH is my favourite player I have never played alongside (Marc Cable & Syd Harman) or against (Leighton Allen). I think that shows my age. That was not on a playstation either Thunder. We had actually left school when they came out
Please Bring him back too.

The position we have been almost completly stuck with since Kingy left is up front, we need a goalscorer, Paul Booth please.

Steve Robinson. A rock at the back. If you keep a clean sheet then you can't lose.
Michael Jordan as well for the same reason.

Too many legends to choose from:
Dobbo with his absurd skills; Kenno with his solid centre-circle-holding and unpredictable distribution; Dale Binns and also Kirk Watts for streaking down the wing; the entertainment that MC Harvey and Karl Beckford brought to the party; the persistence of Marc Whiteman and Lee Farrell; Lovett, Storey and Siggy for their contributions to bringing in young fans and their dads (and mums); Lee Newman and Paul Booth for scoring goals; Duku and Legge - giants in defence and attack; let's not forget Barry Moore and Jamie Cade; then there are the goalies Ade, Dominique and the legendary Scott (Busted) Ward; Barrington Belgrave - who nearly scored a lot of goals but forgot to wear boots with studs; Holloway obviously useful and committed.
So It has to be Simpemba - but I think a few of the others mentioned will be back too.

I'm getting carried away now:
Winterton
Barness Breach Robinson Legge
Wheeler Holloway Dury Binns
Booth Olima
and some good subs: Peter Adeniyi - I forgot him too.
That was just a bit of fun but I think we might be greeting some new faces from the Farnborough squad. Can't wait.

King has apparently taken a pay cut but would some of these players be prepared to do the same?

I trust SK'S judgement totally and with his bulging black book of names and contacts he will get the best available given the budget.Let us not also forget that he has another 3 years experience in Blue Square since he left in 2008 and with the number of matches he takes in each season he knows a good player when he see's one. I look forward to having a team that we can relate to as fans and not just a team of loanee's. What a great day and an even better season to come i am sure.

Poor form in the context of this thread but I just hope SK can keep hold of David Wheeler

I didn't watch Lewes when King was here first time, but we need goals and Booth scored a shedload for me on Football Manager 07 so I vote for him!!

Holloway would be superb. Andy Drury too but I suspect not even SK could lure him back to Ryman Premier from Ipswich! Paul Booth definitely. But just as much as any of these I would like to see Dave Wheeler in SK's team...he has shone in a struggling team, so what will he do in a confident SK team?
borowha - we already have a v good keeper but I would have no probs at all in welcoming Banksy back here. He is a very good player. You can blame your keeper for the odd howler but when you leak that many goals it's a problem for the whole defence and in fact the team as a whole. What a pity - poor old Boro scored a hatful of goals but conceded two or three hatfuls!

Kezie Ibe has gone from Farnborough to Chelmsford so we wont be having him.
I would bring back Paul Booth. He's getting on but I think he would be great in Ryman Prem.
He would not be my first choice though if Kenno was still on top form, and maybe Kirk Watts might sneak in there too. He was brill!
