this guy had the experience, the contacts and NO baggage. he was the first choice of many. i wish him well at redhill and will try to help him with players and advice in the future. i have never met him but from all that i've heard, he was the one who brought us all together. he did not drop out...he was cheated. lets see how it works out.

I wish Colbrane the best of luck too. And, if Guiam wants to put all his effort into helping Colbrane (advice about players and advice generally) then I hope he puts in a 100% effort. That would mean any time he spent on this forum would be time wasted when he could be helping Colbrane and Redhill. Good luck to Redhill. Good luck to Guiam.

Captain get your facts right, he wanted the job but the board have taken so much time sorting this mess out he had no option but to go to a club who wanted him. It's taken to long to sort out and I hope Lewes get who they want but how much longer, players are signing for other teams and the board are leaving it late

Another interesting statement guiam. How in your opinion was colbran cheated? If ,and we are only presuming that he was one of the three shortlisted, he was still being considered for the position here do you not think it odd that he would have applied for the position at Redhill before knowing his fate? We are only too aware of the lengthy process in coming to a decision which means Colbran must have applied for the Redhill job some considerable time ago. Finally , why in your words was he the 'one who brought us all together'?

steve jono was outed before the end of last season...redhill asked sin my opinionn to take over. he applied for the rooks job and asked for time till that was sorted. he was kept in the system till the snide. missed chance to unite all. so bollocks to the half wits who cannot see the future for looking at the past.

If he was 1 of 3 in the short list why is it taking another week to decide from two applicants?

guiam, not sure this was a missed chance to unite all, lots of fans don't even know the guy. You were obviously a spoilt brat and know take every opportunity to slag off others who don't agree with you in a very childish way. Keep that dummy in your mouth and do as you threatened- stop posting on this forum

My OPINION for what it's worth is that it sounds like King is playing hardball with the board over a few issues and they were keeping the other two candidates waiting while they try and reach an agreement. Quite reasonably, offers will be coming in for the other two in the meantime and given the choice of a definite position rather than at best being a second choice, it appears Sin my opinionn has gone for the former rather than the latter.
And of course, the longer this process takes the more likely it is that the other remaining shortlisted candidate will drop out leaving the board with just the one left who would then hold all the aces in a negotiation as it would be embarrassing and inconceivable to have to go through the whole process again from the very beginning.

Good luck to Colbran. I have spoken to a few people over the last few weeks in respect of this candidate and received a few messages as well. All glowing reports that expect him to rise through the leagues. Certainy one to watch for the future. An opportunity missed? Time will tell.

So Guiam, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for calling me (and many others) a half-wit. I will rise above this and not retaliate.
However, as usual, I am struggling to make any sense of your reply to Seagullshater who asked a couple of very reasonable questions.
I am also confused as to why you want to offer advice to Mr. Colbrane, yet you have never even met him..... perhaps I should start offering advice to Arsene Wenger....?
