As the youth set up was raised on another thread, this was the team that got to the 3rd round of the Youth Cup against (then) Premier League Hull City in November 2008.
As far as I'm aware only David Wheeler and Jamie Crellin are still at Lewes - where are the rest now?
Buss, Hall, Whitehead, A.Essam (sub Hopkinson 81), Timms, Tidey, Wheeler, C.Essam (sub Sutton 57), Rivers, Foreman, Storrie. Subs not used: Scott, Davies, Crellin

Always a problem for a club if they do not run a reserve side in at a competive level as it doesn't give a natural step from youth to senior. As a community club I would hope that thought and plans are given to establishing a proper youth/reserve system. This brings youngsters and interest into the club as a whole.

Nice one seagull, which of these players do we feel could make it at Ryman level?

The obvious one there would be David Wheeler. Ross Sutton in my view is good enough for BSS, Ryan Timms when i ever saw him looked pretty solid and i think Grant Hall could do a job a BSP.

Not sure Dave Wheeler is over the virus? Are you joking? He started last season a shadow of himself but by mid season he was getting better and better and every time he got the ball the atmosphere was an exited one.

Im sorry but I feel if he just kicked on a little, a couple more runs and a couple more great crosses, he could still make a league player, was it against wsm he was really really great for twenty mins then faded a bit
