With the very greatest of respect, money is now needed. I'd love to join you with a few pints of Harveys, some wasp killer and weed spray, but something has to be sorted before then.

This is excellent news, as is the news on the official site that Martin Elliott is supposed to be announcing more news on the club in the next few days. I really hope this can be the start of a new beginning at the football, not just with Ibbo as manager, but also with our financial problems sorted out.

I really hope this can be the start of a new beginning at the football, not just with Ibbo as manager, but also with our financial problems osrted out. Rookboy, it's good news that Ibbo will be staying on but, before we get too excited, let's remind ourselves that his position means little right now because he has no money to build a team. And surely you can see that Martin Elliott is beginning to sounding like a broken record?

Hang on a minute, has Martin actually SAID those things, because I'm yet to read (at least recently) in the Argus where it says, Martin Elliot, "We are talking to investors". It's always been a statement, as opposed to quote which to me suggests it's the Argus' line, not Elliots.

I thought it said in the Express that they were unable to contact him.

Youngspur, I agree that Elliott is beginning to sound like a broken record, but surely he realises that he has to act soon, or risk the future of the football club. This is the first item of good news all summer, so I am making the most of it for now! In answer to your question, Kieran, I believe Terry Parris was quoted as saying Elliott is speaking to investors when he was interviewed in The Argus a couple of weeks back.

Yeah exactly. So Martin hasn't actually kept saying the same thing. The papers have just repeated it.

If ME actually turns up at the AGM, I fear that he could be given a rough ride. It's not clear and cut yet, because we're still completely in the dark, apart from Ibbo's appointment.

I take your point, Eastie. I [ invested [/b]in a couple of pints of Harveys and a few bog rolls myself today.
I'm not convinced, though, that the Conference hierarchy are going to fall for this one, especially if they've been peeping into this website.

great to return to the abnormal... i was told that the announcement about jason and ibbo was due out about a fortnight ago....so you knockers who gave me some stick...yahooo, there was a reason for the delay. throughout this period of delay, the management team have spoken to the senior players and kept the best of the kids...they have also made sure that a new batch of kids are joining the club. ok...the budget is crap...but most of the players were paid too much anyway...and i think we are well able to survive in the bss.. it is also a fact that new investors are being spoken to. i suggest that the club knockers who claim to be fans just take a break....and wait on the agm..

although this concrete news of ibbo and jason is quite recent, the plan has been in place for some time...hence the preparations were going on...even as people on here were asking about players and pre season games. new kids are joining and the youth set up will carry on getting better...and will be one of the best run youth teams in the county. the contacts that ibbo and jason have will ensure that decent loanees will be available throughout the season. as for the budget....no comment. i can say it's less than the new manager at worthing will have..........that's a fact. we need cup runs. we need sponsors. we need rooks fans to go to the pan and enjoy the next chapter.

now is the time for all to show they are true supporters of lewes fc......forgive the sinners of last year with there great destructive plan to get people to stayaway. forgive the ultimate sinner spur constantly trying to bring the club down by constantly stirring bad feeling at the club with his repetiton on posts. if you can do no more than be there ,and show support...... that is a great start . whether a new fan or one that has been for years......you cant criticise if you are part of the demise and problem.....

If there is a Lewes FC team to support, in whatever league, I will be there. Irrespective of who is running the club, whether it be Martin Elliott or Osama Bin Laden, I will continue to support THE CLUB as best I can. I hope many others will too.
I'm looking forward to the day season tickets go on sale.
